Team logins and maker-checker approvals for Tally · Riko
Team access & approvals

A login for every person. A yes before every posting.

In most businesses on Tally, one shared login does everything: the accountant posts, the owner looks, and nobody can say afterwards who changed what. Riko gives each person their own login on the web, the mobile app and WhatsApp. Anyone on the team can ask and propose; entries reach Tally only after the owner approves; and every posting carries the names of the people who proposed and approved it.

01

Your own login, not a shared password.

Each person signs in as themselves, with two-factor sign-in by email and SMS OTP. Nobody shares a password to see the numbers.

Named users · 2FA
02

The maker proposes. The checker approves.

Your accountant drafts the entry. You see exactly what will post and approve it, edit it or send it back. Nothing touches Tally unchecked.

Propose → approve
03

A log of who did what, and when.

Every proposal and approval is recorded with names and timestamps. On Teams the full audit log covers every user and every Tally license.

How it works

How a posting moves through your team

  1. 01

    Invite the team

Each person gets their own login. Basic is 1 user, Business is 3 and Teams is 10; add more for ₹1,800 a year each.

  2. 02

    Someone proposes

A posting, whether from AI OCR, chat or a workpack, is drafted and sent to the approver, with the detail of exactly what will post.

  3. 03

    The owner approves

Approve it, edit it or send it back, from the web or the phone. A batch can be approved in one go.

  4. 04

    It posts, with names attached

The voucher reaches Tally, and the log keeps who proposed it, who approved it and when.

In practice

Where it earns its keep

Owner

You want the accountant to keep posting, but you want to see it first.

They propose; you get the approval request on your phone and say yes in a tap. Nothing reaches Tally without you.

Head office

Three branches, three Tallys, and nobody sure who entered what.

On Teams, each person has a login, every posting has two names on it, and the audit log covers every license.

CA firm

Articles post entries across sixty client companies.

Articles propose, managers approve, partners read the log. The firm can show the client who did what.
